When I joined the Phan Bookaholic Club, It was just simply because I had always loved books — the scent of old pages, the quiet of afternoons spent with a story that felt like a friend. Yet, through long meetings, endless logistics, and the excitement of every school event, I began to see how words could reach beyond myself. I remember our “Sách trao nụ cười” campaign — hours spent sorting donated books, writing messages inside their covers, and seeing the joy on the children’s faces in the remote schools of Kỳ Sơn. In that moment, I realized that reading isn’t just a private comfort — it’s a way to share warmth, to connect worlds that might never have met.

Being a member of the Handmade Department in Vì Tiếng Cười Trẻ Thơ has been an eye-opening and deeply rewarding experience. In this role, I contributed to designing and creating handmade items that were sold to raise funds for orphans and underprivileged children. Beyond the practical skills of crafting and teamwork, this experience allowed me to witness firsthand the challenges faced by vulnerable children in our community. It taught me the value of empathy, patience, and dedication, as even small efforts can create meaningful impact in someone’s life. The project also strengthened my sense of social responsibility, inspiring me to actively seek opportunities where I can combine creativity with service. For me, this was more than a volunteer activity—it was a lesson in compassion, resilience, and the power of collective action to bring joy and hope to those who need it most.

At first, I was hesitant and unsure about starting the “Bakey Bakie” Channel. The idea of managing a social media platform, producing content, and representing local artisans’ work felt intimidating. I worried about making mistakes, misrepresenting their stories, or failing to attract an audience. The turning point came when the local artisans I met encouraged me, sharing their pride in their craft and their hopes of reaching more people. Their trust inspired me to take the leap. Creating and editing videos became more than a technical task—it was a journey of listening, learning, and connecting. Each video required understanding not just the product, but the story, culture, and effort behind it. I faced challenges: learning editing tools, finding my voice in storytelling, and experimenting with ways to engage audiences effectively. But seeing small vendors gain visibility, receiving messages of appreciation, and knowing I helped preserve and celebrate local traditions made every effort worthwhile. This experience taught me resilience, empathy, and the profound impact of using creativity and digital media to support communities and cultural heritage.
